Signal conditioner offers a host of features and output options
15 June 2009

VegaMET 391, the latest generation of signal conditioner from Vega, offers a host of features and output options. It can take a single 4-20mA analogue or HART input, compute level, flow (with totaliser), distance, weight, or temperature. Up to 6 relay alarms can be configured for standard tasks as well as ‘tendency’ monitoring, a great solution for monitoring remote tanks for theft of product, leakage detection or linking to a multi pump system to respond to changes in demand.
The intelligent pump management (IPM) feature offers two ‘modes’ of operation, an integrated real-time clock with 6 control/alarm relays. IPM allows users to monitor and control pumps as well as send notification of any failure from up to 4 digital inputs for pump status. Configuration is achieved via the keypad and large backlit graphical display, or by using Windows based DTM compatible software (e.g. PACTware).
VegaMET 391 has integral data logging, making a perfect partner for remote inventory data transmission via network (RS232 Modbus TCPIP/Ethernet) or dial-up. It has integrated web browser, SMS text and email capabilities for values and alarms. An IP65 front facia, ATEX approval and SIL 2 qualification (IEC 61508) complete the package.
