High-precision, single-axis stages with built in linear motor
29 January 2010
The SLP series from Micromech is a high-performance, linear, single-axis stage offering long strokes and easy installation. The non-contact nature of the drive means low noise, a long life span and very low maintenance.
The first in the series is the SL P15 with Heidenhain LIDA279 1µm encoder, which produces a continuous force of 17N and peak force of 90N. The maximum acceleration is 3.5g and maximum velocity 3m/s with a repeatability of 0.0005mm. Maximum loads are 5kg horizontal and 3kg vertical. The strokes are 100 to 1,300mm in 100mm lengths (single forcer) and 100 to 1,200mm for the double forcer.
Next in the series with the same encoder is the SLP25 but this produces a continuous force of 80N and peak force of 340N. Acceleration, velocity and repeatability are also the same but the horizontal load is up to a maximum of 30kg (vertical:15kg). The single and the double forcer strokes range from 200 to 1,200mm in 100mm lengths.
The third in the series is the SLP35 (again with Heidenhain encoder, same acceleration, velocity and repeatability as the other stages) produces a continuous force of 185N and 970N peak. Horizontal load is a maximum of 60kg and 30kg vertical. The single forcer strokes are 300 to 1,200mm and the double 300 to 900mm both available in 100mm lengths.
