Displays and controllers improve plant safety, process efficiency and promote energy reduction

For many years, a key focus of industry has been the elimination of explosion risks in classified hazardous areas where flammable vapours or dusts are present. With all products in its display range having intrinsically safe or explosion-proof variants, supplying certified equipment into these applications is second nature to Fluidwell UK.
The company has approvals covering the test parameters of ATEX, IECEx, CSA and FM, so customers can rest assured that zoned areas are protected to the highest standard with its equipment. These LCD displays can be powered by integral batteries, with five or more years of life expectancy, loop powered by the 4-20mA analogue signal circuit, or by dc power supplied through matched isolating intrinsic safety interface barriers.
Fluidwell can integrate its displays with a large range of associated flow and process sensors. These cover a number of different technologies, including turbines and oval gear positive displacement meters. Recent applications include the transfer of industrial solvents, precision monitoring of pressure and temperature compensated engine fuel oil consumption, batching water and liquid food ingredients and checking coolant flow rates and temperatures. In these varied operating conditions, Fluidwell’s rugged enclosures in GRP and coated aluminium have clean lines and flexible mounting configurations.
A key task for customers is the need to satisfy new legislation and to follow best practice on CRC energy efficiency and environmental protection programmes. With levies always threatening for many companies, Fluidwell UK’s time is increasingly being spent helping to improve processes and reduce energy costs and unwanted emissions from customer sites.
