Revolvo steels itself for big order
16 April 2010

Revolvo, has fought off stiff international competition to secure an order for its SRB split roller bearings, worth in excess of £1.2m, from Indian company, JSPL Jindal Steel & Power. The bearings will be installed at a new plate mill that JSPL is constructing at its Angul, Orissa production site.
“This is the largest single order that we have ever won for our SRB split roller bearings, and it is a massive vote of confidence in the design, quality and reliability of our bearings,” says Revolvo sales and marketing director, Adrian Menzies. “The durability of SRB split roller bearings, and the ease and speed with which they can be assembled and disassembled, were key factors in winning this order, as was our long track record of success with heavy industrial applications - particularly steel - in India and China.”
The order includes around 570 SRB split roller bearings, all of which will be manufactured at Dudley in the West Midlands. They include shaft sizes from 100mm to 360mm, many supplied with high strength steel pedestals for use on cooling beds and transfer tables.
