Bi-stable power relay for large current switching

E-T-A Circuit Breakers has introduced a new bi-stable power relay designed for single-pole switching of loads in vehicle and watercraft applications. Suitable for use as a battery disconnect relay or for switching other high current circuits, the new E-T-A PR80 features a robust design, offers side or foot mounting styles and has a high level of protection against water and dust ingress.
The relay is available in ratings of 100A, 200A and 300A for 12V, 24V or 48V dc circuits. In release condition, its power consumption is zero, making it suitable for battery-powered systems. The body of the power relay protects against water and dust ingress to IP67. Optional suppressor diodes eliminate the risk of damage to control circuitry by back-emf voltage peaks. An insulating barrier between the main terminals also protects against shorting when the cables are originally connected.
The bi-stable E-T-A PR80 complements the mono-stable E-T-A PR60 which has similar ratings and mounting capabilities.
