Liquid pumps for specialist instrument applications

Nitto Kohki reports growing customer interest following the introduction of two liquid pumps, the Bimore Piezo and DPE diaphragm ranges. With Bimor Piezo, flow is created by a ‘bimorph’, two parallel piezoelectric wafers that expand and contract according to the applied voltage. The system operates with extremely low current (typically 14mA), has very low EM emissions and offers low vibration, low noise and minimal flow fluctuations.

This lightweight unit pumps air, gasses or liquids, as well as detergents, acids, alkalis and solvents (depending on the model).
The DPE motor driven liquid diaphragm pump features a pulse-absorption system that creates the very smooth flow required in high-accuracy gas and environmental monitoring systems. This device actively spreads the generated air flow over 360 degrees of the crank turn instead of the normal 180 degrees. Powered by a 24V dc supply for portable applications, the DPE comes in three sizes, offering liquid flows of 100ml, 400ml and 800ml/min with an overall maximum outlet pressure of 3bar and maximum inlet pressure of 400mbar
