Wittenstein releases right angle versions of its sumo gearhead range

19 July 2010

Following the release of the Wittenstein in-line sumo gearheads, the company is now making right angle equivalents available, including the SPK+210, SPK+240, TPK+300 and SPK+500.

The products are derived from modern hypoid technology in combination with planetary gears with helical gearing. With high torque values up to 10,000Nm, combined with extremely low backlash values of less than 1.3 arc minutes, they are suitable for applications requiring high positionning accuracy and high power density.

Wittenstein quotes the efficiency of these units at up to 94%.
