Electronics Yorkshire offers free printed electronics seminar
18 August 2010

Leeds based Electronics Yorkshire has organised an informative networking seminar designed to give attendees an insight into the latest developments in printed electronics. The Printed Electronics – Technologies and Applications half-day seminar is free to attend and is being held on Thursday 23rd September at the Electronics Yorkshire headquarters in West Park, Leeds. The event will highlight the expanding global developments in the new technology, its limitations and boundary conditions, as well as exploring the wide range of applications and markets printed electronics provides, which are complementary to the electronics industry.
The seminar will also outline the ‘lower end’, mass production applications of printed electronics that the printing industry can easily engage with, as well as near-to-market applications involving a hybrid technology approach of both printed and conventional materials.
Presentations are being delivered by experts in their respective fields. Martin Goosey, industrial director at the Innovative electronics Manufacturing Research Centre (IeMRC) will provide an overview of the current status of printed electronics; Long Lin, director of DP Centre of Industrial Collaboration School of Chemistry at The University of Leeds will focus on low-cost, mass production printed electronics; Steve Jones, managing director of Printed Electronics Ltd will present a review of the ‘State of the Art’ of printed electronics; and Bela Green, programme manager at The Printable Electronics Technology Centre will provide details about the facility, as well as discussing near-to-market product applications requiring component integration.
Registration for the seminar takes place at 9:30am and concludes at 12:30pm when delegates will have the opportunity to network and discuss the latest technologies over a free buffet lunch.
