Integrated engineering add-on is released for ZWCAD
19 August 2010
ASVIC, a company specialising in the development of CAD-based software products for a wide range of engineering fields, has released ZWmech, an integrated engineering add-on for ZWCAD. This new application's friendly interface gives CAD novices and veterans an easy and efficient way of modelling, and is claimed to cut drafting time in half with a powerful array of engineering modules, including mechanical, piping, ducting, and structural.
The Mechanical module contains utilities for the drawing of a wide range of fasteners, bearings, shafts, sprockets and several configurations of material handling rolls and conveyors. The Piping module is equipped to draw in orthogonal, isometric and P&ID. The Ducting module is capable of drawing round, rectangular, and flat-oval ducting with surprising ease. It also simplifies the creation of complex duct drawings, a routinely difficult task. The Structural module draws structural shapes from several common standards for building most structural components like beams & columns. Other features available in the package include: Auto-Bill of Materials (BOM), full management of layers, and design parameters.
Customers will be able to download and test the software free for 30 days, and then, afterwards, may purchase the product for less than US$500. For a free 30 day trial click here.
