A joint collaboration is formed for medical micro engineering

Micro XL is a joint commercial and technical venture between two leading high precision components manufacturers, Precision Micro and XL Precision Technologies. Customers now have a single point of contact for projects in which both companies are involved, simplifying communication and the overall commercial process.
It also brings to the medical engineering market a variety of unconventional manufacturing technologies, which, when employed individually or in combination, can provide new high precision solutions to manufacturing problems in micro and nano size ranges for both medical equipment manufacturers and medical practitioners.
The primary strength of the venture is the in-depth medical engineering knowledge of the Micro-XL field based engineers. Based in Europe and the US, they have extensive knowledge of the industry and are able to work directly with surgeons and other end users in order to develop concepts and ultimately products that really do solve problems.
Production technologies offered include: Micro EDM, Micro Laser, Laser Enhanced Etch Process (LEEP), Laser Evolved Electroforming/LEEF and Micro-welding; complementary processes that used individually or in combination to achieve best value for the customer.
