This workshop is organised by the ESP KTN Electronics Knowledge Centre in partnership with ARM and RS Components. It is aimed at demonstrating how easy it can be to rapidly prototype a new idea for an electronic product using sophisticated and powerful 32 bit microcontrollers with rich functionality, complex I/O capabilities and great performance.
Participants in this workshop will learn about the capabilities of the mbed microcontroller board, and how to quickly set up and start developing functionality using the free, lightweight, online compiler and libraries of code. The afternoon session will also include a “Freeform Lab”, which will give all delegates a hands-on opportunity to play with the mbed board and a selection of peripheral components including sensors, actuators, displays and interfaces.
Date: January 24th
Venue: Electrocomponents PLC, International Management Centre, 8050 Oxford Business Park North, Oxford, OX4 2HW
Purpose: To introduce 8/16 bit users (and non-electronics users) to mbed
Time: 9:30am to 4pm
Cost: £99 +VAT for ESP KTN Members, £149 +VAT for non ESP KTN members
If you can't make it to Oxford on 24th Jan, why not sign up here for the fifth and final workshop in Edinburgh on Feb 14th
