When you want to maintain cabinet IP rating, cool it with a filter/fan

28 January 2011

Axair Fans UK's FPF fan/filter assemblies are now being stocked in ten basic models with five sizes of louvre ranging from 105 to 325mm square, with maximum flow rates to 650m3/h. Also offered is the new generation Fandis FF fan filter units, which are suitable for cooling electrical enclosures without compromising their IP ratings.

The fixing system has been improved in order to accommodate steel plate up to 8mm thick, while still offering the fast assembly ‘click-fit’ system with elastic hooks. The filter media is more easily accessible by manually removing the front; no tools are needed. All other maintenance operations are only possible from inside the enclosure.

The improved sealing gasket is fitted between the filter unit and the enclosure, and is now completely hidden. Like the current range of FPF filter fans, the new FF range is available in both colours RAL 7032 or 7035, a choice of voltages ac or dc, enhanced protection to IP55, and choice of airflow direction.
