Rockwell Automation boosts apprenticeships programme
24 February 2011
Rockwell Automation is supporting the drive to recruit new talent into the UK engineering sector by extending its new Advanced Apprentices in Engineering programme. More posts are to be filled, starting in September 2011. The continuing relationship with Milton Keynes College to offer another two new apprenticeships at Rockwell Automation this year follows the successful intake of three during 2010.

Successful applicants will gain a route to a university education while simultaneously earning a wage and benefiting from a combination of hands-on training at Rockwell Automation. The aim is for successful apprentices to either specialise as commercial engineers or move into technical client account management over time.
Dominic Molloy, UK Sales Director at Rockwell Automation said: ‘We are very proud of the fact that several of our senior business leaders started as apprentices. This gives apprentices who join Rockwell Automation an added advantage with access to mentors who will guide students as they start out in this exciting profession. Our company helps manufacturers improve their productivity, and our excellent engineers help our customers to achieve a competitive advantage. They are part of a highly respected and well rewarded profession. We are proud to be supporting the local community, the wider community and National Apprentices Week by creating these employment opportunities.’
