Spur gears now available in cast iron and titanium
18 April 2011
Ondrives has extended its precision spur gear range by adding cast iron (GG25) and titanium as material options. The cast iron units are available from 1.5 up to 3 Module with between 18 to 98 teeth being the norm. These spur gears are made in-house at Ondrives’ CNC facility, and offer good strength and wear resistance.

The titanium precision spur gear range starts at 0.5 Module going up to 1.5 as standard. Larger sizes are planned for the future, according to demand. All are made to Quality Grade 7e DIN 58405 (AGMA Q11) with other grades available on request. Teeth numbers start at 20 going up to 250 with various bore sizes, tapped holes, pin holes and keyways.
Other materials available as standard are 817M40T (28 HRC) steel, 805M20 case hardened (58 HRC) steel, 303 and 316 stainless steel, PEEK GF 30®, Delrin POM and skive hobbed versions.
Customers are invited to send in any special requests whether it be for unusual materials and/or sizes. All quotes are completed on a quick turnaround and no-obligation basis.
