The new 281 obstruction beacon from WERMA provides reliable warning, even in the most extreme conditions. Long life beacon

Using the latest LED technology, the WERMA obstruction beacon is virtually maintenance free. The LED lights have a life typically in excess of 50,000 hours, or approximately 50 times the life of conventional bulbs. Not only does this offer a significant cost saving in lower power costs but also means that operators will not have the additional costs of replacing defective light bulbs, often a costly and cumbersome operation in itself.

Tested and approved

The beacon has been extensively tested by the marine and shipping authorities in Germany to validate brightness and colour and has been awarded appropriate certification.
The WERMA 281 obstruction beacon meets the requirements of the "General Administrative Provision for the Identification of Aviation Obstacles" in Germany, and the specifications of the international civil aviation organisation ICAO ("Low Intensity Obstacle Light, Type A").

Simple installation

The beacon is easy to install – simply feed the cable through the cable gland and attach to the terminals whilst the two housing parts are held loosely together with a retaining strap.

The product is available in two voltages – either 230VAC or 12-50V DC.
