Memory Module Copier makes drives commissioning faster

01 June 2011

Lenze’s new memory Module Copier (MMC) simplifiese drives commissioning and servicing. With the MMC, the programming data for the 8400 Inverter Drives and 9400 Servo Drives as well as for smd and SMV inverters can be easily copied to other modules. The plug-in memory modules hold all the parameters of the drive and these can be copied to a new module in less than 10 seconds.

The MMC supports efficient working in series production because the memory modules can be programmed with the parameters of the drives at any time before commissioning. In this way commissioning time is saved: instead of connecting each drive individually to a PC in order to download the drive settings, the programmed memory modules are simply plugged in.

The robust, easy-to-handle MMC can be operated from a power supply unit, supplied with power via USB connection to the computer, or used as a mobile device with the rechargeable battery included.

The separation of hardware and software for Lenze inverters, achieved through the use of memory modules, means that parameters can be transferred from one inverter to another with the MMC as often as required. It is no longer necessary to switch on a drive to do so.

This principle makes servicing much faster, and can also be done by the maintenance personnel in a manufacturing facility without any expert knowledge and without any risk of important settings being forgotten.
