Channel 4 seeks innovative products for Future Family series
08 June 2011
Channel 4 is calling all entrepreneurs and innovators to submit products that could revolutionise the way we use energy at home for a new series called 'Future Family'. The five-part TV and web-based documentary series, due to broadcast later this year will follow an average family as their lives and home are transformed by next-generation technology. The series is being produced in partnership with E.ON.

"As well as next-generation technologies from major manufacturers, we really want to find new and original products from individuals which they think could improve the lives of millions of ordinary people - whether it's how we work and play, relax, eat, stay healthy, save energy or heat our homes,” says series executive producer Dan Adamson of programme makers TwoFour. “The series is a great opportunity to give budding entrepreneurs a national audience for their creations."
Jeremy Davies, marketing director of E.ON’s Energy Solutions business, said: “At E.ON, we’re on a mission to get the nation energy fit and we’re committed to being a leading force behind innovations in the energy industry. It’s vital that everyone understands the importance of energy and that’s why we’re searching for cutting edge developments which will provide new and unique ways to help customers become more energy efficient.”
