Three-way valve delivers control system savings and versatility

15 July 2011

Designed to offer exceptional flow capacity for a ¼in valve combined with versatility in operating requirements and allowable pressure limits, AMOT Model 4057 and 4457 3-way pilot valves were developed for use in manual and automatic hydraulic or pneumatic control systems. Aluminium and stainless steel versions feature a balanced force design simplifying system design by enabling pressure to be applied to any port.

The choice of panel or bracket mounted further simplifies their flexible and low-cost installation and the use of the AMOT patented ‘Tad Pole’ seal provides lower friction and longer cycle life than conventional O-rings.

Modular construction incorporates a sliding spool that moves to either a rest position opening Port 2 to Port 3 with Port 1 closed, or to an actuation setting with the second port open to the first and the third one closed.
