Michael Baunton CBE is appointed an independent non-executive director of ACAL Energy

ACAL Energy, has appointed Michael Baunton CBE as an independent non-executive director. Mr Baunton brings to ACAL Energy extensive experience in engineering and production worldwide, having worked within manufacturing for over 40 years. He has held senior executive roles with companies including Caterpillar Inc., Perkins Engines Company Limited and Tenneco Inc. He is currently Chairman of the Board of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders Limited’s Industry Forum.

Earlier this year, ACAL Energy completed a funding round, securing total investments of £6.1 million. The company is developing affordable and reliable fuel cell engines based on FlowCath platinum-free cathode technology.
Mr Baunton was awarded a CBE in 2004 for services to the automotive and engineering industries in the UK.
