Ruggedbook offers 'unrivalled' touchscreen tablet features

Display Solutions has introduced the 'Ruggedbook' series of touchscreen tablets and notebooks to the UK market. Designed specifically for industrial applications, the range offers users a ucombination of high specification performance together with an ultra-resilient construction making it an ideal choice for field workers and mobile workforces in every sector.

The Ruggedbook range offers a number of different configuration options including sizes up to 13.3in, sunlight/outdoor readable displays, up to 4GB of SDRAM, a choice of Intel Core or Atom processor, RFID and barcode scanners and 5 mega-pixel camera. Both resistive and capacitive touchscreens are available.

Compliant with military standards and offering a wide operating range of between -20°C and + 50°C the Ruggedbook combines its sturdy construction with user-friendly appeal; the smallest of the range weighs in at a lightweight 0.6kg. All tablets and notebooks are pre-loaded with either Windows XP or Windows 7 Pro. Communication is via Wi-fi and Bluetooth with both GPS and WWAN available as factory options.
