Free independent expert advice for those considering automation

16 November 2011

Successful implementation of automated or robotic systems can drive productivity, reduce waste, improve precision and ultimately increase the competitiveness of companies. A government funded programme - Automating Manufacturing - provides the opportunity for UK manufacturers to benefit from independent, impartial expertise to assist in the implementation of appropriate automation systems.

"Manufacturers keen to increase their global competitiveness and improve profitability are invited to make an application to the Automating Manufacturing Programme online here and take advantage of the expertise available," comments BARA President Mike Wilson. "The dedicated website will also inform interested parties of forthcoming automation events, provide access to case studies and contain information relating to every aspect of the programme."

Part of the awareness campaign involves a series of Business Breakfasts at which experts will explain the benefits of automation and the associated support programme whilst existing users will relate their own experiences on the journey to automating their facilities. Independent experts will also be on-hand for one-to-one consultation.

Upcoming Business Breakfasts have been arranged for November 23 2011 (Youngmans, Maldon, Essex) and NOvember 24 2011 (Ecotile, Luton, Bedfordshire).
