With this Joint Venture WEG will be able to start to meet the growing demand of the Brazilian market, participating in the wind power generation business supplying wind turbine generators with proven technology and high local content.
The MTOI Group was founded in 1975 to design, develop and manufacture systems for industrial and process automation. MTOI began operations in the wind sector in 1999 with the development of its TWT-1500 multipolar wind turbine (1,500kW rated power and 70m rotor diameter). Today, MTOI offers its TWT-1.65MW family with three rotor sizes (70, 77 and 82m) and 71/81m tower heights. In addition, currently under validation is the TWT-2.5 MW family (with rotors of 90, 100 and 109m) and 100m concrete towers.
