'Angle-to-angle' clamping technique is extended to friction loads

Lindapter has introduced a new generation of 'hook-over' clamp for connecting rolled steel sections, extending its application to frictional loads. The Type CF clamp can securely connect channel, angle and I-beam secondary steelwork without drilling or welding - dramatically reducing construction time and costs. Featuring a toothed nose and reaction legs for a high friction connection, the new clamp is equipped with a grade 8.8 bolt and spheroidal graphite cast iron hook.
Type CF clamps come in M12, 16 or 20 sizes, which accommodate tensile loads up to 26.25kN (for a single bolt, 5:1 factor of safety) and frictional loads up to 16kN (two bolts, 5:1 FOS). The clamps may be fitted without drilling or welding - with a hook at either end - or with pre-fabricated punched/drilled mounting plates. The clamps are hot-dip galvanised, and do not damage steelwork coatings.
