Leuze's 'Introduction to Machine Safety' training workshop

06 January 2012

Leuze electronic’s next free-of-charge 'Introduction to Machine Safety' training workshop takes place on Tuesday, January 31 2012 at the offices of HMK Direct in Congleton, Cheshire. Thanks to the support of HMK this is the first time these popular half-day training workshops have been held in the North West.

Kevin Ellison the presenter and Technical Support Engineer at Leuze electronic said: “We have had a wide variety of people travel to our previous workshops at our office in St Neots, including people from as far away as Cornwall and Aberdeen. The majority however have been from companies close to our office and so I am looking forward to meeting new people by taking ‘the show on the road’ so to speak”.

As a Siemens Technology Partner for Safety, HMK Direct has a wealth of experience in automation and the company works with Leuze electronic to offer in-depth knowledge of machine safety legislation, issues and methods.

Leuze electronic UK managing director, Mark Weymouth believes that, at the extremes, machine safety is either over-complicated or treated as a commodity product market. "These sessions are designed to show a different middle-way" he says, "with Leuze offering high performance products that are easy to install and use, and the expertise to help customers with their applications.”
Topics covered in the workshops will include:
·  IS EN 13849, CE, & PUWER requirements
·  Current and forthcoming legislation
·  Standards and their implications
·  Machine Safety Inspection
·  Safety Components
·  Free tools and resources from Leuze electronic

Mark adds: there is free food for lunch and lots of tea and coffee!
