A flexible method for pneumatic actuator control in hygienic processes

30 January 2012

Burkert’s new AirLINE Quick offers a reliable, compact and time-saving method for the direct mounting of the company’s type 8640 valve islands and AirLINE 8644 automation system into control cabinets, eliminating the need for bulkhead connections and internal piping. Manufactured from stainless steel and incorporating features such integrated exhaust check valves, the adapter allows an altogether smaller design of control cabinet for hygienic process actuation.

The AirLINE Quick mounting system consists of an adapter plate integrated at the pneumatic connection of the AirLINE automation system. The adapter plate enables fast and easy mounting directly on the wall or floor of the control cabinet. An additional plate on the outside provides for added stability.

All pneumatic connections can be mounted directly on the control cabinet base or side eliminating the need for bulkhead connectors. Additional components such as pipes, cables or control cabinet connections are not required, thanks to the direct mounting.

For less critical applications, a lower cost anodised aluminium model is available, with pneumatic connections manufactured from nickel-plated brass.
