'Lazy Susan' gets busy in materials handling applications
13 March 2012
UPM Conveyors has introduced a new version of its rotary table (Lazy Susan) that is able to operate as an integrated part of a product handling system or, as a stand alone unit, to act as a buffer when required for accumulating and unloading product. A standard feature is variable speed control, and prices start at £1,600, which UPM claims is among the most competitive in the market.

An overhead mounted, multi-adjustable product flow orientation guide is offered as an optional extra to ensure “first in first out of product”. UPM guarantees the elimination of any operator trap point, as the underside of the table is totally enclosed and conforms to all relevant Health and Safety legislation.
In-feed and out-feed belt conveyors can also be supplied from a standard range of plastic link belts which includes 90 and 180 degree bends. UPM can custom engineer a system at no extra cost as all manufacture is carried out in-house, including fabrication programming and control of build, allowing complete control of quality.
The range of Rotary tables is available in a variety of diameters.
