OTT launches new web-enabled loggers
30 March 2012
OTT Hydrometry has introduced a range of dataloggers for remote monitoring called 'netDL’ (Internet datalogger), offering compatibility with almost any communication method. By building in data path redundancy, netDL loggers are able to guarantee high data availability. By incorporating web connectivity, the cost of data transfer is considerably reduced and data collection is simple and convenient.

In order to minimise the cost of monitoring systems, the netDL loggers are modular, so that users can specify their own requirements with regard to the number of inputs and outputs and communication methodology. Again flexibility is key; with I/O options for analogue, pulse, SDI-12, RS232 and RS485 the loggers are able to take data from a wide range of sensors. Communication options include a built in GSM/GPRS modem, internet access and if required, satellite, radio or landline modem connectivity are available for additional communications redundancy protection.
In addition to the latest communication technologies, netDL loggers also provide enormous onsite data collection capacity. An on-board memory that stores up to 0.5 million readings, together with options to log different sensors at different speeds, to automatically change logging speeds at pre-set (alarm) conditions and to ‘dial out’ on alarm, the loggers are able to record the data of greatest value.
The battery powered netDL range has options for wind or solar powering to ensure long-term unattended operation.
Each logger has a USB interface, a backlight display and a user operated jog shuttle, so it is also possible to view all data, reconfigure the logger or to collect data whilst on site - without a laptop if necessary.
