Precise rotary positioning for heavier loads

30 April 2012

The new IEF Werner MDV 80/100 manual rotary positioning unit from R A Rodriguez is suitable for applications that require precision rotary adjustment of loads of up to 10kg. It features a high specification worm gearbox to keep reversing backlash to a minimum, and spindle support bearing to absorb high torque capacity.

The product is fully compatible with the full domiLINE linear motion range and extends the load bearing range of the previous unit, which had a limit of 2kg. The compact MDV 80/100 has a 55mm diameter turntable which can be fitted above or below the unit, and incorporates an optional spindle clamping mechanism.

Accurate positioning can be achieved manually, via a fluted adjustment knob or handwheel, both of which have a resolution of 0.5 degree per graduation. The unit can also be equipped with an electronic position indicator with a resolution of 0.1 degrees. Incremental and absolute dimension functions can also be incorporated, as well as a reset function.
