Simple, self-calibrating valve positioner for precise control of small or large flows
03 May 2012
Samson Controls has introduced a high specification, competitively priced valve positioner for use on its diaphragm operated valves. The Type 3725 positioner is suitable for applications requiring a simple, self-calibrating positioner for precise control of small or large flows. The unit features the best of Samson's 3730-1 / 3760 positioners and is housed in a black, UV-resistant polyphthalamide enclosure with transparent blue polycarbonate cover.
Data input and start-up is a simple process thanks to auto-tuning, while position sensing is contactless, performed using an AMR sensor. This method allows greater flexibility and enables the device to remain insensitive to vibration from nearby equipment.
The new 3725 positioner is designed to be used with Samson’s family of diaphragm operated valves, and can also be Namur rib mounted for travels up to 50mm, as well as fitted to rotary actuators with VDI/VDE 3845 mounting.
