Manufacturing's top environmental performers invited to enter EEF awards

18 July 2012

The search is on to  find the UK's top environmental performers among UK manufacturing industry. Manufacturing  businesses of all sizes and talented apprentices are invited to show how they've raised their environmental performance by entering the  EEF Future Manufacturing  Awards, which are free to enter.

The Engineering Employers' Federation (EEF) awards provide many opportunities to win across ten categories, including two environmental awards sponsored by ENER-G. With regional and national award ceremonies, companies have two chances of winning - gaining high profile publicity for their business, as well as the accolade of winning a recognised industry award.

"If your company has improved its environmental performance or reduced its carbon footprint, you should enter the EEF awards", said Cedric Rodrigues, Divisional Managing Director for ENER-G. " You may have undertaken one single highly effective initiative, or a mix of smaller improvements. You may have switched to a renewable energy source, or increased your energy efficiency. Whatever you have done, share your success story with EEF for a chance to win one of two prestigious environmental awards."

The EEF Future Manufacturing Awards will be judged in five UK regions across the UK. Regional winners will be announced in November at celebration events, sponsored by Santander Corporate Banking. The regional winners will then compete for the national awards at a prestigious ceremony in London in January 2013.

The Awards are open now to all UK manufacturers, with a closing date of August 3rd 2012  For more information, click here
