JBJ helps with coupling element sizing and gearbox cooling

18 July 2012

JBJ Techniques has added two helpful sections to its website covering the sizing of power transmission couplings and selection of gearbox cooling units.

The Coupling Element Size Comparison Chart (up to Spidex S/CJ125 & Dentex B80) is easy to use. Simply size your coupling, decide the shore hardness and colour, and contact us immediately. Refer to JBJ's yellow (Pump Drive Component) catalogue for technical specifications, power, torque, speeds & other selection criteria.

The RID Series cooling units, which are primarily aimed at the planetary  reduction gearbox market, consist of a high efficiency air/oil heat exchanger, an electric motor, a hydraulic pump (screw for RID55 and gears for other models) and a fan.

It can be supplied with: a power box with a thermostat to turn the pump on and off; alarm thermostat for over temperature; control pressure switch (to be applied to the reduction tank); SPIN/ON filter.

The RID cooling system unit can be employed to cool different types of stationary system circuits as well.
