Rolls-Royce sets up first US defence support centre

Rolls-Royce has opened its first-ever US Defence Operations Centre in Indianapolis to enhance service and technical support for it US defence customers.
The centre will provide round-the-clock response for customers in the field to speed support and technical assistance for engine-related issues. Located in the new Rolls-Royce Meridian Centre, this $2m investment will offer technical support from a 50-strong team of engineers and technicians providing rapid response to customer issues.
Among its capabilities, the team will be able to review individual and fleet engine data, and inspect hardware via live video feed of boroscope inspections.
Rolls-Royce has a similar facility operating out of Bristol in the UK.
Rolls-Royce currently provides its 'MissionCare' branded support service for all branches of the US military, including the Air Force, Navy, Marines, Army and Coast Guard. Aircraft supported include C-130J, V-22, T-45 and Kiowa Warrior helicopters.
