The 'multi-tool' of dataloggers at an affordable price

Richard Paul Russell has launched the latest in its range of compact, affordable data logger - the SpaceLogger.A10. A versatile and cost effective logger, the SpaceLogger.A10 is suitable for a variety of applications thanks to its two 4-20mA input channels and one RS232 input, plus an option to record the status of a switch.
The SpaceLogger.A10 offers the facility to convert 4-20mA input to RS232, plus conditional logging function and alarm output signal. The units can be daisy chained to increase the number of analogue channels. Time-stamped data records are stored in daily .CSV files, on an easily removable SD card.
Recorded data is stored as ASCII text with each record on a new line with comma separated fields. Fields may be selected from record prefix text, time and date, channel 1 reading, channel 1 units text, channel 2 reading, channel 2 units text and switch state. The analogue readings can be scaled to record in real world units. This data record may be appended to data from the RS232 input.
Logging can also be set to be conditional; when a switch is in an open or closed state or when either of the input channels meets the defined trigger (threshold) conditions or when a command is received on the RS232 input.
In addition to data acquisition, the SpaceLogger.A10 can be used as a 10-bit analogue to RS232 digital serial convertor in order to output RS232 data for input to another device. It also has an alarm output signal which can indicate when the level of data goes above or below a set threshold on one or both analogue channels.
