BVM releases latest 3.5in SBCs for embedded applications
18 December 2012
The latest addition to the BVM Group’s stable of 3.5in single board computers for embedded applications is the LS-37B, which supports the latest 3rd Generation Ivy Bridge 22nm Core and the second-generation Sandy Bridge i7/i5/i3 Mobile processors in the rPGA988B socket.

Up to 8GB of 1,600MHz DDR3 in a single socket can be addressed. Based on the QM77 Mobile chipset and with integrated HD graphics 4000 technology, the LS-37B also feature Hyper-Threading technology to provide high performance and low power consumption, enabling fanless operation in many applications.
It is ideal for demanding graphic and processor intensive applications such as industrial control and automation, gaming, real-time surveillance and control, ruggedised systems, print imaging, digital signage and similar tasks.
Two SATAIII 600MB/s mass storage interfaces are onboard, as are one Giga LAN, four USB3.0 and two USB2.0, one RS232 and one RS232/422/485 serial ports. Two channel HD audio provided by the Realtek ALC888 Codec and VGA, 24-bit dual channel LVDS and 20-pin DVI video interfaces provide a number of A/V options.
Two Mini-PCIe sockets and a SIM socket give an extended interface to external functionality; a real time clock, watchdog timer and an 8-bit GPIO interface are onboard and the SBC is powered from a standard 24-pin ATX or an external DC 9 - 24V input PSU.
