Small load cells are big value when size matters

18 December 2012

When small load cells are needed for measurement of tension or compression forces, then RDP Electronics Ltd has a range of miniature and sub-miniature transducers available for a variety of applications.

Where the load cell needs to be physically small for applications such as medical testing, the assembly of machined parts for small fixtures or even underwater equipment, then a transducer from the miniature Model RSL range will probably meet the need.

With device length as small as 14.5mm and diameter just 25.4mm, loads of up to 4kN and best linearity of ±0.15% are achieved. Combined with signal conditioning units these small load cells can additionally provide local display of the test forces under measurement.
