WERMA's 430 series beacon sounder combi-unit now in XXL size!

02 January 2013

Supervision of a large and noisy assembly or production area can often be difficult as traditional smaller sized beacons and sounders fail to compete for attention.

The new 430 series from WERMA, however, has an integral sounder with an output adjustable up to 105dB - and 32 available tones to select from.  The unit is approximately twice as large (407mm high) as the traditional combination unit and offers a range of LED light: permanent, flash, rotating and the strobe-like EVS light.

The optical and audible signals can be triggered separately to provide users with the option of activating just one signal type or both at the same time to generate a maximum level of awareness.

In addition to versions for base mounting, the signal devices are also available with a practical mounting bracket.

And thanks to the latest LED technology, the unit has a life of typically up to 100,000 hours.

Ex signal product range is extended

The latest addition to WERMA's Ex certified range is a completely new family of compact beacons. The new 729 series offers permanent, flashing and rotating LED beacons, and is additionally available with the enhanced EVS flash feature. The 728 series with its classic xenon flash and the 785 with a mechanical rotating mirror beacon, are also available for Ex certified applications.

WERMA has been developing products with combined approval for use in both gas and dust applications for many years. The new ex-proof beacon series 729, 728 and 785 are also approved for use in zones 1, 2, 21 and 22.

By ensuring effective explosion protection even at extreme temperatures down to -50°C, the application possibilities with the new beacons has been significantly increased.
