Non contact IR sensors to alarm on thermal issues
18 February 2013
The Raytek EMS multi channel system monitors critical components that could suffer potential failure by getting too hot. Using non-contact, infra-red, miniature sensors can provide an alarm when preset temperatures are exceeded.
From under £200 per sensing head, this provides a very cost effective fail safe against power outages, machine downtimes, and even fires. This early warning allows maintenance to be planned and proactive rather than reactive.
Available in several configurations, this equipment can be easily installed and up and running in one hour. Logging options allow after the event analysis.
By looking at critical areas of your infrastructure, these sensors can give an early warning of likely problems. Loose connections. Power phase imbalance, component failure, also mechanical bearings - all areas where Radir can also assist with thermal imaging cameras, the EMS will monitor (and even control) 24 hours/all year.
