Eco-friendly, high performance cables from Aerco

Aerco is now supplying the new EcoGen line of recyclable products from Alpha Wire. EcoGen products are a next-generation range of eco-friendly, high performance wire and cable, providing improved performance in a smaller package.
EcoGen products contain no halogens, phthalates or heavy metals and are 100 percent recyclable. Their mPPE insulation and jacket materials are fully RoHS and WEEE compliant. The use of mPPE insulation also results in significant size and weight savings compared with traditional PVC and XLPE wire and cable.
The product family comprises four products: EcoCable, EcoFlex, EcoWire and EcoWire Plus. EcoCable is a 600V control cable that is up to 47 percent smaller, 65 percent lighter and produces 87 percent lower outgassing than conventional PVC control cables while EcoFlex offers similar size and weight benefits for moderate flex applications. EcoFlex is rated for up to one million flex life cycles with an eight times flexing bend radius.
EcoWire is an mPPE hook-up wire that is up to 45 percent smaller, 40 percent lighter and ten times tougher than traditional PVC hook-up wire and completing the range is EcoWire Plus, a compact and lightweight version of EcoWire that meets ISO 6722 standard for fluid resistance. Compared to XLPE products, EcoWire Plus offers excellent resistance to oils, chemicals, solvents and fuels.
