Vehicle fit-outs are a breeze with this profile system
25 June 2013
Flexibility is a key factor when fitting out specialist vehicles. The requirements for different types of specialist vehicles, each with their own unique structure and configuration can be very diverse. That’s where this modular aluminium profile system comes in very handy.
From rescue vehicles to mobile libraries and bank vehicles, the MiniTec modular profile range has proved a particularly flexible system when it comes to fitting out these vehicles for their special duties. Vehicle constructors as well as professional body construction experts are using MiniTec - particularly the size 30 profile with its range of connectors and components - to achieve fast and straightforward assemblies that are resilient, individually configurable and easy to modify.
Good organisation of loads carried by specialist vehicles is important. Whether it is the storage of books in a mobile library, emergency equipment in rescue cars or tools in a service vehicle – everything needs to be retrieved quickly and conveniently, so the method of stowage must always consider the organisation and ergonomics of access.
Vehicle fit-out requirements vary enormously, and configurations are rarely available as standard from the vehicle manufacturer. MiniTec’s solution to this problem - its industry proven modular aluminium profile system – is flexible enough to meet the needs of a huge variety of fit-out applications.
The profile system has been used for special vehicle construction, as well as to equip garages and service facilities. It is also suitable for custom-fitted construction of vehicles which are used by rescue organisations, fire-fighters, sales organisations or garages. In addition, food stalls, demonstration vehicles, mobile bank branch vehicles, mobile libraries or transport vehicles for motorsport can also be equipped with their own individual interiors.
The lightweight series 30 profiles are particularly useful for those applications where construction space is somewhat limited; the most used profiles in these instances are profile sections of 30x60, 30x23, 23x23, and 23x16mm. The weight of the 30x30mm profile is only 0.641 kg/m and each profile is available in lengths of up to 6m. And thanks to the same DIN-M8-groove, all standard profiles can be freely combined.
All components and accessories can be used for every profile. For the profiles series 30, MiniTec also offers the corresponding power-lock fastener 30 for joining profiles together, as well as zinc plated mitre connectors for angle connections of 45° to 135°.
Above all, the MiniTec modular profile system gives the user wide scope for creativity with minimal effort, thanks to a good selection of connectors and accessories, and the easily adjustable power lock fastener system, which requires no profile modification.
