New M12 connector cable is resistant to weld sparks

30 June 2013

Binder has introduced new UL-listed M12 connectors with moulded cables that incorporate a hard wearing and impact resistant PUR jacketed cable that is resistant to welding sparks.

Designed primarily for robotic welding equipment, the new PUR cable replaces the traditional irradiated cross-linked cables that are not recyclable and therefore present disposal difficulties.

These A-coded M12 connectors are available in three-, four- and five-pole versions in male and female format and with straight and right angle options.

Protected to IP67 when mated, the polyurethane cable is available in orange or black, the locking nut is made of nickel plated die cast zinc and the contacts are gold plated brass.

Standard cable lengths are two and five metres with other lengths available on request  The current rating is 4A with 100 anticipated mating cycles.
