Temperature data loggers and an ultrasonic flowmeter: all new from Omega

Omega Engineering has introduced new IP65 protected temperature dataloggers and a new water flow meter based on transit-time ultrasonic technology.

The Omega OMYL-T10 and OMYL-T10E are robust temperature data loggers with IP65 enclosures. They have a standard memory of 100,000 readings (OMYL-T10, OMYL-T10E) or expanded memory of 4 million readings (OMYL-T10-4M, OMYL-T10E-4M).

The OMYL-T10/OMYL-T10-4M have an internal temperature sensor, while the OMYL-T10E/OMYL-T10E-4M have the temperature sensor fitted in an integral 100mm steel probe. 

Meanwhile, the new FDT100 Series water flowmeters use transit-time ultrasonic technology in which the signal is transmitted and received alternately between two flow sensors

The battery-powered transmitter determines the flow rate and comes in the user’s choice of an integrally mounted display or a remote-mount version. Long-term stability and a wide measurement range make it possible not only to measure water consumption but also to monitor systems for water leakage.

Because the FDT100 series has no moving parts, system pressure loss is minimal and filtration is not required. Flow rate or totalised flow are displayed at the push of a button. Installation is aided by 150-lb ANSI flanges in sizes from 2in to 8in (50.8mm to 203mm).
