    OC Robotics delivers snake-arm to AMRC(16/01/2012)

    OC Robotics has delivered a snake-arm robot to the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC). The snake-arm will be used to deliver a variety of end effectors into confined spaces, and automate processes that are currently dangerous and time consuming to perform. The Explorer-style robot will be used in research that will focus on the assembly of airframe components made from composite materials.

    OC Robotics to provide snake-arm robot demonstration for Sellafield(05/07/2011)

    OC Robotics is to provide a snake-arm robot capability demonstration to Sellafield Ltd. This first-of-its-kind demonstration for Sellafield will include two snake-arms, deployed using OC Robotics’ 'Rail&Rotate' platform. The snake-arms will transport a range of end effectors into a purpose-built cell mock-up to demonstrate various decommissioning and inspection capabilities.

    OC Robotics releases free snake-arm robot simulator software(11/03/2011)

    Snake-Arm Simulator is a free introduction to OC Robotics' snake-arm technology. The software can be used to simulate, analyse, specify and plan the deployment of the Explorer range of snake-arm robots. While a 'joypad' is not required, uses should note that Snake-Arm Simulator supports Microsoft XBox joypads and Thrustmaster joypads. Built on top of proprietary OC Robotics algorithms, the simulator enables you to emulate the capabilities of Snake-Arms in simulated environments.
