The seats are available in more than 150 grades of Metcar’s proprietary carbon/graphite material and are suitable for use at temperatures from approximately 350°F, at which point plastic ball valve seats begin to soften. They can be used in fire safe petroleum industry ball valves, which must operate freely after a simulated fire test at elevated temperatures.

    Self-lube carbon graphite bearing material for applications up to 340°C(26/09/2011)

    Metallized Carbon Corporation's new Metcar grade M-11 bearing material is a plain, unimpregnated, carbon-graphite offering good self-lubricating qualities and good wear resistance when running dry at temperatures up to 340°C. It is an economical grade that is suitable for bearings that must run continuously at relatively light load and low speed. Metcar Grade M-11bearings are suitable for equipment such as high temperature air dampers, continuous dryers, and high temperature conveyors.
