T Levels have the potential to deliver the much-needed skilled engineering workforce in the UK. However, a new report published today by EngineeringUK reveals that awareness among young people and employers is surprisingly low.

EngineeringUK is calling on the Government to use the Comprehensive Spending Review (CSR) as an opportunity to invest £40 million annually in careers provision for students in schools and colleges in England to enable more young people to understand the opportunities available in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) careers.

EngineeringUK is inviting the engineering community to take part in the Big Engineering Conversation – a new campaign to encourage discussion and realise the ambition to increase the diversity and number of young people entering engineering.

Just launched, the Engineering UK 2020 Educational Pathways into Engineering Report provides a comprehensive picture of the trends in STEM educational participation and attainment across academic and technical pathways into engineering.
