A glimpse into the future of display technology

Yoichi Ochiai at the University of Tokyo, along with colleagues Alexis Oyama of Carnegie Mellon University and Keisuke Toyoshima  of the University of Tsukuba, have developed an ultra thin and flexible display screen using a mixture of two colloidal liquids, controlled using ultrasonic sound. The researchers say this combination holds promise of flexible, transparent displays.
